Mostly Used For: Bergapten-Free Bergamot essential oil can be used safely on the skin. It is non-phototoxic compared to the standard (bergapten-containing) Bergamot essential oil. Potent anxiolytic. Useful in the management of sleep disorders, nervousness, depression and irritability. Bergamot is calming and uplifting. Digestive issues caused by anxiety. PMS, hormonal mood changes.

Precautions: The bergaptene-free version of Bergamot essential oil may be preferred if sun exposure cannot be avoided. Store in a cool, dry place away from heat and sunlight to avoid oxidization. Oxidized essential oils are sensitizing to the skin.
